Heat Wave!!

So even though I live on the coast of Maine, which is NOT supposed to be hot, we are having a heat wave. And I REALLY hate the heat. We went to obedience class last night and it was so hot that I refused to do anything except lay down and take a nap. Mom knows I hate the heat though, so she's been taking me down to Grandma and Grandpa's house on Peaks Island so I can swim in the ocean and play at the beach with Maddie, my doggie aunt. Here's some pictures from our trips.

This is me on the ferry ride over. There were lots of sea gulls that I wanted to jump overboard to chase, but someone put this silly fence up so I couldn't.

The water didn't really taste right, but I ran right in anyways.

Someone left this really fun bucket for me to play with.

And a rope to tug!

Then Maddie and I found another rope to play tug-o-war with.

I won!

And, of course, we played with sticks....

....and did lots of swimming. I didn't really like the waves at first but got the hang of it after a little while. I really liked chasing splashes in the water and ripping seaweed to shreds too.
